Skully has a point. Where did the english language come from? Maybe England. Back then only ZED existed. But, our 'new world' of America has made up quite a bit of its own slang from the English language. That's how we got Zee. It is correct in America to say Z!

are we gonna waste time telling Auzzies that a hood is not a bonnet? oops!

While we're at it, we should also tell them that a Trunk is not a deck lid, and a truck is not a lorrie and that a coupe (Koop) is not a coupe (koopay).

I don't care who invented what... When they rule the world, they can call the shots. Til then... American English is the standard

Rod.

Let's please not get started on the who rules what. So that being said!! Lets focus on something else, hey, how much does a zed or Z weigh?? And when I am finished putting my Z or ZED back together, I will kick all the other Z's or Zed's a$$'s. And hey, if 2 280 ZX's leave a station both going 200 MPH, where and when will they meet?? The answer is who cares!! I say potatoe, you say potato, you say ZED and I say Z. Really people

(all opinions expressed in this post, were done so after me and the wife returned from her co's Christmas party, so we are drunk!!!!! )

Hey, not bad for a hour's worth of typing

To bring this thread back from the dead....

Anyone seen the new "Nissan A to Z" commercials on TV? I'm pretty sure when they show the 350Z.... he says "ZEE."

and another thought (not being sarcastic):

Do the Brits / Aussies say the letter T "ted" or D "ded" or E "ed" ???

But you know, in the US they pronounce company names different than in other countries. They would have a new voiceover for the Canadian commercials.

I saw a Mazda commerical in Canada and they prounouce it M-as-z-duh.

Does anyone else notice that I commonly refer to my "Zee" as a Zed? Huh? HUH?

I give love to the Canadian brothers on this board, and others.

Hell, I spell tires TYRES, sometimes. Oooh, how about COLOUR, and LITRE? w00t. I **** off so many people doing that.
