I think I have its twin!!
I bought this 280zx a couple months ago, brought it home put quite a bit in green in to it. So I thought Id take it for a fun lil spin. No tell CHP (its been drivin around quite a bit) but whatever... So smack dab in the middle of chico, ca on 99, I was clocked doin 89 in a 65. No registration. No insurance. Failure to notify dmv within 10 days. $1,400 later... was it worth it...Hell yes it was!!! Rock on buddy!!!

I got this 280ZXT to earn money. lol...
I figure after I sell the odds and ends I won't use, along with things like monza header, Triple Weber setup, mallory dual point dizzy, and other hard to get stuff, I will more than pay for the engine swap.
Couldn't pass it up at $600.
Yeah, it's not the devil Z. That's what I am wanting to kinda build with my S30 though. haha
I don't blame the car either. Been a while since I have been pulled over, and I should have kept it off a min street. I just didn't want to go fast on a small road. I was about 50 yards from reservation land too. Bad luck, mixed with a poor choice is gong to cost me.
No worries. I did not pay my last ticket with photo radar. It only sticks if the legally serve you with it. Even then they are easy to get out of. My friend following the car on the slow ride home got flashed by the same camera and confirmed we were doing 5 over. I don't know why it flashed, but it was a van parked behind bushes.
Need to work on my lean running condition, and I plan to swap withen a week. I will take plenty of snap shots for you photo ******.

He's not kidding either. I've gotten pulled over twice for doing 30 over and let go with a, "Keep up the good work!"

Well.... Driving the 280ZXT I just bought home. I managed to get a photo radar ticket when driving 40mph in a 35... The car's top speed was 40mph because of the poor engine performance... lol
Tonight after getting the car running right, I was driving it on a somewhat larger street to make sure it would shift and driver properly, and boost.
It did. I was caught doing 63 in a 40.... When pulled over I was told my license was suspended when I was never even so much as notified.
So, off to jail.
After an hour and them finding out that I am not a criminal they let me go with a criminal speed ticket.
Man... I have to take the engine out of this car fast. Turning out to be bad luck. hahaah

wOow scary, but if it was a devil z, it should of have a RB26DETT motor in in.. but shiet that is fawken seriously weird..

we all bought that z.
I believe we all bought the devil Z. I bought my 81 for a steal, and since then it has stolen quite a bit from me too. I have put well over a thousand into it in about a month and a half, all for problems that did not exist when i bought it or even until 2 days after i fixed the previous problem. Left me saying "you know if i didnt put that alternator on i bet the collector wouldnt've blown its self in half". or "hey that exhaust sounds great too bad my clutch gave up on life". "Hey i just paid for a new clutch it will be here on monday! lets go i'm hungry... oh no dont tell me the starter's dead" and so on and so on. Oh yeah and i'm counting down till the day they finally get to take my license away for 3months, something they've been waiting to do for a few years but somehow never had quite enough against me until i get caught leaving the beach through a stop sign sideways in my freshly purchased Z. Oh well, maybe one day i'll grow up..... and maybe i'll just make sure i dont get caught in the future
