Unless you have magic powers, you have to take the whole mirror off the door to remove the assembly from the plastic outer part. There are two long screws on the inside of the door mounting piece.

And what exactly are you trying to "fix" ? The motor? The mirror piece?

1 yes the motors / gears are acting up.......

2 I know about the screw behind the mirror glass.... I was hoping the screw on the under side would seperate the housing, and was also hoping their was a plug on the back of the motor, & the whole unit would could come out the front.

pft... you don't need the paint code. Take your orig mirror to an auto paint store & tell them to match it. Done and done...

well all I know is the guy I bought the car from, said the door panels were already like that.... he did say that he was told they were formed out of fiberglass, if you look @ the photo you can see it overlays the org. door panel, extending upward tappering off @ the top of the door really flat. @ this point, say about 3/16" it measures less than 1/4" after the leather is applyed..... if its any thicker it will hit the a/c duck on the side of the dash & crack it, as it did on my right door........

this panel also follows the contour of the door panel just under the window switches & under the armrest @ the same thickness as above....

all of this is formed in one pcs. the speaker is not exposed to the weather, it is formed out far enough to house the speaker, with out cutting the org. door panel.... when the door is closed, it fits just right in between the seat & the kick panel......... really cool idea someone spent a little time getting it right....

if you want I can take some better pics to give you a better idea let me know........... hermultra

Yeah, I can dig your disapointment. Some people just suck. I bet the shop that did the doors would sure like the word to get out about the quality of their work. If you can, send me some pics via PM so I can try to find a local shop to do my doors up like that. Beautiful interior, hell beautiful car. Take good care of that one.
