I like the pics. What size tires are you running? They look undersize. If you get some 17's with proper outside diameter tires you'll be tucking them hard... that's a 2.5 inch drop or something, right?

iam unsure how much it droped in inches ....we cut 2 1/2 coils from the front and 2 even from the back ....tire size right now is 165r 14 ...i think that 15 by 9.5 for the rear would be sick and 15 by 8 for the front ...with a 185r 15's tires all around ...iam going to keep my eyes and ears open mabe a set will turn up ...

WHAT?!!! I ran 225/60/14's on the stock rims back in the 80's.

165 ANYTHING is WAY to small for those wheels. I'm not even sure they'll pass the DOT sizing requirements on a 14"x6" wheel...

The stock tire size on those was 195/70/14 and 205's are easy to fit while 215's are hard to find in a 14" but 225's are everywhere in 14" sizes.

I say, 215/60/14's all the way around:

Honestly, I can't see how those are 165's on that wheel. They would taper in at the tread so much it would be immediately apparent. If they are, I can now understand why your car is so squirmy in the corners. There's practically no tread between the wheel and the pavement. 165's are what Geo Metro's came with...

Can you verify the tire size that you currently have?

Regardless, I would go with at least a 205/60/14 all the way around:

And if you have the clearance (you should) go with 215/60/14's all the way around:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=0

P.S. This is not a recommendation for a performance tire, just that these are freakin' cheap/affordable. If you really want to push your car's performance to the limit, I'll be happy to make significantly different recommendations that will make you wet your pants when you experience the traction in real life.

ya, I'd like to see someone fit 185 width tires on a 9.5 inch wheel.... I thought I was going narrow with 225 on a 16x9

It's all good man, we are only human.LOL Anyway that is a sick Z dude, what a difference that makes in the looks department too. Man I really want my lowering springs now. Oh well, got to get him running again. I better get outside, and put my clutch in.

And yeah I think 15's would look real sick, with 205 60 r 15's on her all around on your Z. That is what I am doing with my Z, when I redo the suspension. With my Turbo wheels.
