what is the difference between a 1981 280zx-turbo ecu with and 1982 280zx-turbo ecu

The 81T used a different crank angle sensor (CAS) and used fuel injector dropping resistors. Also ALL factory 81T's had auto transmissions.

The question is i bought a 1981 280zxt and it was automatic like u said.. And i installed the t5 transmision from the 1982 280zxt.. Would it make a difference if i place the ecu from the 1982 on 1981

from the sounds of it, if you put the 82 ecu in the 81 it probally wont fire right (injectors)

if the 81 ECU is good why not use it?
if your worried about the transmission i dont think you need to be.
