Engine Rebuild Pics

I finally got around to uploading these pics on to my computer. They are about 6 months old but I figured you guys might be interested. Enjoy.

looks like one of those kung fu masters...except for Z engines...and drew is just learning look at the look on hes face ...nice black engine

What, you guys didn't recognize him?? Thats Mr. K...

Just kidding, actually he is just a guy that works at my friends shop where I work on my car sometimes. I don't remember what we were talking about but it must have been something interesting.

The parts were all off of my old engine except for the cam and valve train components. When the machine shop ported my head they painted it with a special corrosion resistant paint that made it look really clean. All the other parts I painted myself with high temp engine paint. How do you guys like the black and silver theme? Originally the valve cover was supposed to match but it got all messed up when the hoist chain rubbed up against it and chipped the paint. Now I switched back to a stock valve cover but it used to look like this.

That's a nice engine! Doesn't look quite as cold outside as it is here in the northwest...

I'll keep that valve cover thing in mind for mine. I'll put a spare one on to drop the engine in, and then swap the painted cover later.

I like the paint theme on the painted valve cover. You should look into doing that again.

I've been considering painting the whole thing flat black and then just polishing the "Nissan OHC" and the little lines.
