road test 280ZX Turbo (assume is an 83)

same money as: Porshe 944, Alfa Romeo GTV6

the car will go faster in 4 gear= 129-125 in fifth

lol??? so you should shift from 3rd to fifth, to 4th? strange stuff. Is there a 5th gear governor on the 280's?

Gearing I guess, in order to compete in the market (mpg) the fifth gear is good for the mileage but kill the desired effect of the sick who wants to airborne A better gear relation between 4 n 5 will propel the car pass 130 without any other mod.

Or change out that rearend for a lower gear to bring the 5th gear rpms up just a little.
