The only 280zx's without rust are the ones that have lived in So California or Arizona their whole lives.
Rusted frames and floor pans aren't a big deal... they can be easily fixed. It's getting into body work (panel rust / repair) that gets very expensive and time consuming.

I guess your right. My buddy thats into Hondas pointed it out to me. My buddy had a turbo '83 ZX and his was rusted and the guy I bought the running L28 from swapped a 350 small block into his 280z. I know the '83 was a rust bucket but I don't know about the '76 Z. It just kinda freaked me out, never had a car that was all rusted to ****. my first car was an '80 Toyota Corona. (Yes, Corona not Corolla. Was a RWD wagon. ^.^) It had 280k on it and hardly any rust. Gave it to my buddy for free when I got my '98 EK hatch and he turned it into a dirt track race car. Finally took a **** at like 340k miles and the last 20k were track miles.
