Fireing up. And NO prime used

Well guy's. today my 280 started up and ran without a prime. Today was also the first day my motor responded to the gas pedel. I got to rev her up for the first time. Sadly I need to adjust my timeing, and put more gas in my tank. But look's like I might just have My Z runnin here soon. I also found out what that large clunk sound was when my motor died from prime. It's my Mass Air Flow sensor. has anybody ever had this do it to them? do I need to replace it? Or is it doing it due to timeing off?

Also, my RPM gauge ain't workin. Where does the rpm connect to to get it's signal? trany or some where on the motor?

Is it the door slamming shut or is it a backfire through the AFM. If it's a backfire it could be timing or your valves need adjusting. Little things like that. If it's the door slamming then probably either too little vacuum pulling on the door (the engines not sucking air) or the spring tension is too high). But I'm guessing its a backfire. The Tach gets it's signal from the coil/Ignition module (their on the same circuit).
