Ford King Cobra looks like a 280zx

So I was watching this TV show and they were talking about a ford prototype from the 70's, designed to compete in Nascar or something, anyway it was based off the torino, and the front of it looks very similar to a 280zx, a bloated 280zx, but a zx none the less. but if you looked at the back, you would think it was just another muscle car. They only made like 7 and i think only 3 still survive.
Heres a King Cobra:

Indeed! The bucket headlight design was pretty popular in the 60's/70's. The Jaguar E-Type was a big influence on the Z's design. The Opel GT and Toyota 2000GT were close designs too.

But If our cars are from 79-83 , then Our cars look like the King Cobra prototype, not the other way around

Then again, the 240Z-280Z S30's also had the headlight buckets...

And the King Cobra made it's official appearance in 1970:

Ford planned to introduce another limited edition Torino to once again dominate at NASCAR. The result was the 1970 Ford Torino King Cobra. Like the Talladega, the King Cobra was modified with aerodynamics specifically in mind and looked much different than a typical 1970 Torino. It had a sloped front end with dual headlamps located in sugar scoop shaped cut-outs on the front fenders, similar in appearance to the Datsun 240Z.
As I stated above, the sugar scoop headlight bucket isn't original to Datsun...

Bond: I think that's enough, Goldfinger, you've made your point.

yes but, im organizing the kudos to however made the headlights look best, not chronological order, so im still going to say Ford stole the front end from the ZX 9 years before it was made
