front cover oil leak
lt today was fun but it went really well ... i would lose about a half a Q of oil every other day i got a new front gasket set ... i pulled it all the way down to the oil pump and front cover .. my oil pump shaft was in 180 deg's the wrong way normly , this wouldnt be possable but my dissy had so much play in the bottom that you could turn it all the way around put it back in ether way ... not a good thing ..
so i found a metel bottom dissy at that pick and pull ..you can only put the metel dissy"s in one way... it will not go in unless you have the oil pump shaft just right ... but its all fixed and no leaking thank the oil gods .It was costing a lot in oil each week...........alumimum sealer ,,, if your going to pull your front cover its the **** to get ....its so much better than the rubber sealers i used befor.....

hehe i had lots of sealer on my cover...so i threw it out and bought one from a guy here...much better then fixing cracks...there is no way you can totaly fix it unless you re weld it but hey if it holds up for you, i just hope that aluminum sealer doesnt start chipping off and fly into the engine...

i was losing oil becuase of a bolt not being tight not bacuse of a crack in the front cover.. thank god and the sealer that i spoke of will not clip away this is like a rubber sealer but i made for sealing aluimimummm its looks alot like metel but feels like rubber.. its made for sealing the front cover to the block where the oil pump and water tunnels run

This week I rolled around with no oil pressure....I thought it was just the guage cause it ran decent, untill I started overheating and you could hear that the cam had no oil. Let it sit over night, next day had oil pressurd running 120 degrees constant {thermo stuck open} and still loosing coolant. {blown head gasket} 1 more month and the new motor is dropped in. I am waiting for the SDS and my tranny rebuild, thats it!!!
