Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok its been rained really heavy for a few hours, I headed down town to get a drink at the gas station and the street was entirely flooded, I got in just fine as the water wasnt that deep at all ( I knew where the street was on that side) I got my drink and left out the other side WHICH WAS EVEN DEEPER AND I DIDNT KNOW IT!

It sucked up probably 4 gallons of water thought the intake.... The engine stopped dead and blew out a freeze plug. THAT ONE INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION AREA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #^@$%&@&#%&#%&@&@&$%&@$&@$%&@$&@$%&@$!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Z dead and I dont have the money to fix it. I refilled the radiator to see where it was leaking and I had the plugs out to get the water out. as soon as enough water got into teh radiator. I CAME OUT THE SPARKPLUG HOLES!!!!!!!!!!!! GAH GODS DAMN IT ALL!

Also after the rebuild or swap buy a car snorkel and rig it up and be the first to have a snorkel on your Datsun.
You can be that man!!!!

you can try and pull the head and dry it.

you might be able to save it if you can dry it out, pull the pistons out and re hone the cylinders if they've been damaged.

do not try and run it untill then

its hard to say what you need to do and all untill you have it opened and assess the damage

why would you try to drive through water high enough to get into the intake?

you might be able to save it with out spending to much, drop the oil pan too. store it in the garage if you have one. keep bare metal surfaces coated in wd40 to keep them from rusting. and get the water out ASAP

Thank you for actually being helpful skib. atm I'm wait for the water to settle in the bottom of the pan then I'll drain it out and I'm going to put wd40 in the cylinders. I'm hoping and praying nothing is ****ed up....

lol, how does this happen with cars, I have forded rivers on my bike and have had water up to the levers without a single problem. Also ran my old red z31 through a couple small rivers with the water up to the headlights and it still didnt suck any in??

lol, get some MMO from autozone and pour some down the cylinders, pull the pan, make an oil pickup that picks up from a jug of fresh oil, pull the dizzy shaft and spin the oil pump with a drill until the bottle runs out or until nothing but fresh oil is pouring out, hopefully you didnt **** it up too bad.

dude hydrolock is pretty serious on a motor, you're definately going to have to tear it down to the crank to see if a grenade went off in any of the motor. Have you rebuilt your L before?

My intake is open along the bottom. Not like a normal one. and Im assuming its because I was trying to gain speed to fast to get going and it shot the water up into the intake
