gimi some pointers, or some advice
well im buying a 77 280 Z and a 82 zxt block from a buddy of mine for like 650 bucks, after i get the car and motor in my position, im going to have my buddy rebuild the engine, right now im station in fort huachuca arazona, so i cant do much, but uhh my plans were just to get it goin and started, to have the motor torn down, get the crank micro polished, hone the cylinder walls, new piston rings, new plugs, completely rebuild the head, put a stage 2 or 3 cam on it (MSA) and either the stock turbo or slightly upgrade, wat is the most boost u can run on a stock block, safely, and wat would i need to increase it? and after those upgrades, and replacements, roughly how much HP would that motor be pushing at the rear wheels? my goal for final is roughly over 300, but not right way, some input would b helpful thanks guys,
and btw here in arazona, its pretty cool.. im learning to become a pilot for UAV's unmanned arial vehicles, u guys might see them on the news launching hellfire missels over seas, im going to be piloting those,

Hey not to jack your thread or anything. But I noticed you have 2 Diamondback bikes? I have 2 20" Diamondback Vipers myself. One late '70's, the other early '80's. I know mine are verry hard to find, and they are all chrome, and have a cool design.
Anyway congrats on the new Z. I have always wanted an older 280z. Someday, as for boost on a stock Turbo, I believe 14, is usually the limit. But don't quote me on this. I am sure somebody else, will help you out more. Take it easy, and good luck with your new adventure.

http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/turbo/index.html Has a TON of info for you.. As far as the BLOCK I have a buddy in phoenix pushing now 26PSI (dynoed 550RWHP @22PSI) on a stock block, you also wont see much gain with a cam on a turbo car.. 300 to the wheels is definetly easy with this motor.. Right now I have one built with a guaranteed 417WHP @ 18PSI, now if only I can get it in the damn car
