Heat / AC vacuum problems...
Hey guys.
I'm working on my heating system right now.. i have most of it apart, and I finally have some air running through the system. There is not very much, however. The fan runs, but the speed is not variable, and the air flow is somewhat weak. Anyone have any hints to solve this problem?
My BIG problem is that the vacuum lines do not seem to be doing anything. I believe they are all hooked up correctly, but moving the **** does not actuate any of the valves in the system as they should. When the car is running, there is some air running through the tube that goes to the little switch on the drivers side kick plate. Therefore, I BELIEVE that there is some vacuum power.. how can I be sure that there is enough?
Finally, the cable that alters the hot / cold ratio valve is not attached to anything. When the lever is moved back and forth, the cable does not do the sliding action it should, it just moves completly on its own. Is there somewhere that this should attach to to keep it from doing this motion? If not, I will just fabricate myself a bracket.
Any help is muchly appreciated.
Thanks:
Dan
