hello from tennessee!
how is everybody? in new to the site, but not new to forums lol im 17 and i own an 82 280zx. this car belonged to my uncle. he loved it. sadly the clutch went out on him, and he parked it in the garage to tinker on it and get his baby back on the road. tragically, he was killed by a drunk driver while riding his goldwing one night..the car sat in the garage for nearly 12 years. one day, a day before my 15th birthday i get a call from my aunt, whom i love dearly, and she said she had a very special present for me. the next day, i was blindfolded, walked outside, and got the surprise of my life. my uncles z car. and ive had it since. ive got the car to start and run about 7 times, replaced the slave and master cylinders, and i have pulled the interior.(sitting in a garage next to horse feed and dog food for 12 years is begging for some mice). the car still has a long way to go. i know in my heart that my uncle would want me to take this car and make it my own, but i plan on keeping everything oem stock. im open for any suggestions or opinions any one may have. i look forward to talking to some z owners! i will have pics and other goodies up soon!

Well there are plenty of guys, not me, that like things stock as well, but I certainly like a good custom Z. Its a shame to hear about your uncle, I was involved in a wreck myself, with a drunk girl. Not super hammered or anyhting, but tipsy enough to think she could beat me across an intersection, with me being 15-20 yards from it, with her pulling out across the road. 65MPH into her drivers door. Broke my sternum, did a number on my fiance's knee, and put the girl into a drug-induced coma for a few weeks while they pieced her pelvic bone back together.
On a happier note, I acquired my 1980 ZX as an engagement gift, and would have gotten my dad's 82ZX 2+2 but a tree fell on it and totaled it a couple years ago. Which is okay, cuz 2+2's ar freakin ugly! to me, anyway. Dad doesn't think so :P

Haha ive already torn my whole interior out for a color swap, in the process of making a push-button ignition, gonna change headlight, and its getting a custom paintjob. nothing wild, but not stock, and not expensive. lol.
