my speedometer doesnt work and i lifted my car up and found that the cable was crushed and its leaking fuild out of the cable where its damaged ....so im in need of a cable for my bby..can anyone help me out ..ive found 2 different ones on ebay but i dnt knw which one is the correct one..my car is a 5 speed non turbo and only has 85mph on the gauges...and another ?....since the cable is crushed and leaking..what does that mean?..is there any damage inside the tranny where the cable is hooked up?

 

All 79-83 280zx speedo cables are the same. Fairly common to have a jumpy or dead speedo due to pinched cable. Also fairly common to have it leak due to warn out speedo cog o-ring.
