Here's my 83 280ZX

Howdy all, my first post on the forums. My Z is all original except the exhaust tip, and clutch and brake pedals lol. My dad bought the car from some guy in Illinois in '95 and it only had 18k miles on it, then he went to sell it because he originally planned on his wife to drive it, and she never did.

I wanted the car, so my mother bought it for me in '97, at the time of purchase it had 27k on the car. She drove it for awhile back and forth from work for about a year, then it just stayed at a car garage for eight years. When I pulled it out a month ago it had 57k miles, and it started right up! Amazing! It's a great little car. already have 58.5k on the car, can't stop driving the thing!

I'm looking at an intake, 2 1/2 inch exhaust, headers, the rest i'll keep stock. And maybe some 16 or 17 inch rims and better tires down the road, trying to keep it as original as I can though. Nothing rice will be on here, already took those aluminum pedals off and put the stock ones back on (Don't ask, my mom bought me them and thought they looked cool, threw them in the trash).

Now for some pictures:

Some night pictures I snapped tonight:

Constructive criticism? Thanks.

No criticism at all man, car looks great. I am sure you will have lots of fun driving that car. Does the A/C and Cruise controls still work? Go get yourself a Black Dragon Catalog....good parts in it.

Here are a few links:

http://www.blackdragonauto.com/
http://www.thezstore.com/store/merchant.mvc
http://www.hammondsplains.com/z/
http://www.arizonazcar.com/

This should keep you busy for a while. The Z Store and Black Dragon would be my first choices for replacement parts and aftermarket stuff like the Header and what not. Welcome to ZDriver.

Man that's a nice looking Z. It reminds me of my 2+2. It wasn't quite as nice as yours, but man I miss that Z.

Welcome to Zdriver bro', and hope you enjoy your stay. If you wanted to learn about these cars. You came to the right place. Many knowledgable, and cool people on this website. I have learned a lot, in the almost 2 years, I have been on this site. I pretty much didn't know much about working on Z's. Until I came here, and picked up on things. Now I have done more than I ever thought I would do.

All aside, nice Z for a 2 + 2, not a big fan of them. But I respect them for what they are. Anyway yeah good score man, keep it clean, and keep all 4 on the ground. LOL

Nice car man! You might think about getting involved with a local Z car club. I believe Gateway Z Car Club is the St. Louis club.

ya, that car even looks like it has that low of milage! Very good looking. The 2+2 looks sharp with nice paint on it... I remember back in the day when my paint was shiny

Nice. Very clean. Not a fan of the 2+2 but you have a very clean and low milage example. Keep her that way and welcome!

Wow!

That is a damn nice car! And here I thought all 2+2's were ugly.

I guess it's just Bleach's car...

Welcome to ZDriver.

The remote control rear windows are the ****.

Those vent windows entirely change the airflow characterisics of the interior of that car.
