Thanks. And pics asap. And i know how you feel bout the chevy engine. I'm kinda half and half. It's either that or another straight 6 crate engine. I dont really know alot about these engines, but i'll learn. i still got to get the 280 in my name and registered. these cars sure are a money pit. i've had the z31for almost a year and im buying the 280 off a friend.

Welcome to Zdriver
Cheers on the 280zx, hope you don't do any engine swap...I am very partial to keep the s130's on original as possible.
Would love to see picture !

You will find the 280ZX easier to work on then a Z31 tho lol I'd vote stick with the L28 and get a few boltons for it

welcome to zdriver. you do know how to upload pictures to another site and then post the link to them in the thread here don't you? if you were doing that, i don't know why the pictures wouldn't have worked.

american made engines are a big down grade from our nissan engines. these engines really are amazing. if you must do a swap, i recommend to keep it nissan.

yah i know how to upload them. it had to get approved. i was thinking about a rb swap, that'd be pretty expensive wouldn't it? and is there a good nissan v8? j/w. i like the power. but i really think i'll stick with the l28 crate engine. thanks nismo!

I'd love to drive a V8 Z or even make one someday down the line, but at the same time I just like having that Nissan straight 6 under the hood. Just go L28ET. That'll be cheap and hold you over for a while.

It was a really treat when he fired that engine...man ! Also I looked under the engine and there was barely any clearance left...should have taken the picture of that also, but it was too dark.
