How do you fix emergency brake on 280zx???

It depends on what's wrong with it...
Have you looked at the e-brake system to see what the possible prob is?
Could be a loose or frozen cable... could be the caliper... could be nothing left of the brake pads...

could be same as mine cable is stretched/warped so engages 2 parts of stuff all. need to get a new one but everyone basically robs you over here for a new one so i just use it in combination with a reverse gear for the incline i'm on

I had this issue on a 280ZX. The sleeved cable that goes between each caliper was sticking.
I replaced it with a used cable that was in better shape. We did have some discussion on this in another thread somewhere.
Basically, take the cable out and hang it up vertically in your garage or outside. Put some penetrating oil on one end of the cable. A couple drops at a time every half hour or so. Possibly do this all day and eventually it will begin to drop out the botton of the cable so you know it got all the way through. Then reverse the end that is up and repeat this procedure.
This is about as good as you can lube the cable. Re-install it and your calipers should release.
