Injectors want kick in......Help!!
Anybody got any ideas? The car will start but imediately cuts off. Then it has to sit awhile before it will start again. It's kinda like the cold start is working but the injectors are not kicking in. I'm thinking maybe it's the fuel pressure regulator but I don't have the tools to check it.

and in line resistors with no change. The fuel pump seems to be
working pretty good, but I'm not 100% sure of it. It pumps really
strong but never cuts off. I kinda wonder about the fuel pressure
regulator that maybe it is staying open and just letting the gas
circulate instead of allowing enough fuel pressure to build up to kick
the injectors in. Is there any way to test this without having to buy
a fuel pressure gauge? Money is kinda tight! Thanks, roger

Check the cap and rotor button...look for gouges on the contacts under the cap. Make sure the coil wire is seated all the way and check your firing order. I know all three of my fuel pumps prime when I turn the key for like 5 seconds then it sounds like it turns off. Could be a problem if yours is staying on and the sound volume never changes from the pump.

It has really good spark from the plugs.
About 6 months ago, it wouldn't start at all and a sanded the points down
on the fuel injector relay and it fired right up and ran good. The car
has been off the road for a couple of years and It's now at the point
of starting but shutting down.

The gas is fresh, carried by can from the gas station.

You need to check your fuel pressure... if you have good fuel pressure then you need to obtain a node light & check the injector wiring for power. If there is power, and good fuel pressure, your injectors are clogged. If no power, you need to check the efi wiring.
