Thumbs up Insurance ????

what type of insurance company do ya'll use, and how much coverage do you insure the z car for??? ( reg. ins. co. or a classic car ins ) any links would be helpfull thanks hermultra

full converage, full comp, 250 collision, allstate ~$89 and i am under 25 but i live in oregon and for some reason statistics say that oregon drivers are the safest....go fig

225 for the same thing in florida, but i;m 19 with 2 speeding tickets and an accident (which wasnt my fault), but i got stuck with the 4300 dollar bill to fix it...different story

I don't know what it's like in other states, but here in Ohio I've been in two accidents, one that I caused and one that someone else caused, but on the driving record it just says accident and doesn't give fault.

I have basic coverage + tow (12 miles free) on my Z. It's $26/mo from USAA.

American Family...Liability on 2 Z's. It is $95 a month. But I am about ready to drop them. I know I can get cheaper through somebody else. For God's sake, I am 33, and have a clean record. And have had no tickets or accidents, in almost 4 years. Oh and I can't afford full coverage. They say my cars are too old. Crock of sh$t. But whatever...

They are too old for full coverage, and it's not worth it. I had a long talk w/ my insurance rep about full coverage... paying full coverage and then having a $500-$1000 deductible on top, will cost A LOT more than the car is worth.

Allstate: (washington seems to have very high insurance prices)
All 10 years I had the 280ZX i had just liability. Every other company I checked with would lump comp and collision together so I didn't have that. I should have had comp. (people kept trying to steal my car or steal my stereo) Collision is the most expensive part of the insurance. Allstate allows me to separate the coverages out. I have liability and comp (vandal/theift) on all my cars for not much more than just liability. On the 350Z I have full coverage of course.

When I had just liability I paid around $100-120/month for the 280ZX when I was in my early 20's. Then mid to late 20's was more like $75/month. Nothing cheaper was available in Washington. Perfect record still. Not a single ticket or accident.

Right now I have the 350Z and two other cars on my policy for $201/month

geico I've noticed is cheaper, but the esurance kept giving me quotes for like $1000 for 6 months or something, I know I don't have the greatest record at the moment, but still other places were quoting much much lower. I think Geicos came out to be under $400 for 6 months with the lowest liability coverage.

also Hoov, your insurance is so low because even if you plow into the side of another car at 120mph the cleanup of your blood is easy. Replace the door molding and the other car is done.

motorcycle isnt usually cheap, its usually more expensive seeing as motorcycles are up there on the crash charts.

PFFFT my ***, the only thing my parents get me is food and a place to sleep. i buy my own cars and i pay my own insurance and books and im covering my own loans for school once im out. i also buy my own clothes. plus im moving out next semester anyways.

back when i dialy'd my 280zx i paid only 70/month for full coverage with statefarm. i had no tickets or anything and was only 18 back then.

i daily driver is a 02 eclipse and i have to pay 200 a month just on liablity, i pay a extra 50 a month to get the 84 ranger legit. this is with allstate >_< i got a couple quotes and they said the z wont be as much as the ranger bc its a weekend car.

$400 for 6 months. Full coverage and roadside assistance on the Z, and liability on the Honduh. and thats 100/300/100 liability on both.

$92 for six moths is what my insurance payment dropped by when I added the Z to the insurance policy that covers my Tacoma because the multi vehicle discount was more than the additional charge for basic liability on the Z

umm dude i am paying about $90 for full coverage plus extras.
and belive it or not companies see these cars as being worth more than you think, unless you buy piles of rusty junk, which is possible.
because of my circumstances i had to take out a loan for my car $2000, bank was willing to loan $5000 in the condition the car was in.

and its never benificial to run arround with just liability with any car.
