I pay $50 / month for liability only in FL - First Fl Travellers. Clean driving record with no accidents or tickets.

You must think I am crazt to pay the 348. Hell one payment is more then I paid for the entire car. Esureance says they will be in my area in the next two years. That quote is with progressive. I went to the company and sat down with them to get my prices. Untill I find a cheaper price, I just drive without.

I had insurance through Geik for a year then switched back to Progressive because they were cheaper. Geiko doesn't give a Multi-Car discount, Progressive does. I paid $568 for 6 months full coverage on my '90 Talon TSI, along with liability and uninsured motorist coverage on my '92 Bronco and '82 ZX for covering both my wife and I. I do have 1 speeding ticket on my record, other than that both records are clean. I didn't go full coverage on the ZX because for what it cost for full coverage for a year I could buy another ZX or two (they're real cheap here).

for what though? bare bones basic liability? i carry more than the minimum liability on both cars to protect my assets. i don't want to lose my home over a car accident. if i were a renter, that would be a different story.

I HAD state farm, and they just TODAY dropped me because of an at fault wreck i had in 2005. Mother f'er. I was paying 85 a month for my 280zxt and a 1989 240sx with me and my wife on both vehicles. Not bad considering i was paying 130 a month for just me on my 260z with progressive.
minimum coverage though.

Im 24 and I just paid my full coverage for 6 months with farmers and it only cost $197.00. I dont know why any of you guys have such high costs. Try switching insurrance companies. Oh and pay every six months not each individual month, that costs more. My deductible is only $500.

When I went off to college, my father gave me two options. He said "Son, you can work your *** off for four years then play and have fun the rest of your life, or, you can play and have fun for four years and then have to work your *** off the rest of your life. It's your choice."

I made a good choice and worked my *** off for 7.5 years and I've been playing and having fun ever since!

You pay the same. Insurance companies usually quote six month prices. Most people don't want to pay $500 - $5000 in one huge payment every six months so they split that quote into monthly payments.
