intake manifold

intake manifold

I really want to clean up the intake manifold and get rid of all that mess, so i can have a cleaner looking engine bay. I just dont know what it vital to keep and what can be removed, what valves, vacc lines etc.

And i was curious, is a custom fuel rail necessary for this project?

There's not much to clean up on the L28ET manifold. If you remove the AAC / EGR and air regulator, you'll just have a bare intake mani with ugly webbed runners. That's why many people convert to the N42 intake.

On my 280zt I cut the webbing between the runners out, cut off the EGR, and plugged the POV:
