Interior question / opinions??

Well have been super busy. Haven't had time for posting. Got my door panels re-done. I decided to strip the pockets and go bare bones black pleather looks sweet with the 260 seats. I just installed a almost new black dash. "Super hard to find"! This is out of an 83 with the digital climate control . So I'm screwed with what I can do with the hole for the dash sensor? It came with out the sensor!! I was thinking of wireing something there to cover it up. I LOOOVVEE the factory 260z tach. Maybe useing a harley light bucket I could fab something cool?? Ideas?

Digital climate control?

Do you mean the ACC (Automatic Climate Control)? If you want it to work properly, you'll need that sensor. Otherwise the sky is the limit for hole filling options.

Yes I'm not opening the can of worms swapping out the hvac controls. So I'm keeping mine factory question being properly saveing the dash . Let's say I wanted to hide it with XM radio unit. So ill need to screw it down. Ok how do I get the bracket tight with out cracking the dash? Dumb but rather have this thought before I ruin the dash.

Ah gotcha. Make a top mounting plate for the XM to sit on, then fab up something that will attach to it and drop through the hole to secure on the underside of the dash.

For example, weld a bolt to the bottom of the mounting plate, drop it through, then use another mounting plate with a hold drilled in it to slide over the welded bolt, and use a nut to secure... so it's sandwiching the dash between the two plates. Make sense?

Yea. . . . Thanks a lot needed another set of eyes on the issue. The standard "Drywall" screws is not an option. Just had the vision of that carnage. Welp once I do get a chance to do the finish work ill post the pics. Really looking good!
