Just making sure
Ok for reasons that I would rather not discuss I now have to drive my Z car (1982zx Turbo 5spd)... Ok so I'm rather pissed off because of this whole situation and am about to attempt to pull my dash out, which ive done in my old '79 before.
I want to make sure I'm going the right route, My car has the Auto climate control, I have NO heat. Now i can switch to any vent that i want, but just can't get any heat. The heat worked back in Oct. and just stopped all of a sudden. Do I need to replace the water **** or is there something else easier i should check first? I have searched on this and feel that its the right route, I already have a new one and am about to head out in 28 degree weather to change it any more last minute info would be great!... Thanks

Ya I'm thinking so, the car has been sitting. Before we checked the carpet and it wasn't wet. I just checked it after pulling the dash out and the carpet pad is soaked. That would be the heater core not the water **** right?

AAAAAHHHH!!!! So I replaced the water **** and have heat now, but nows there a damn leak somewhere in the region where i replaced the water ****, pretty good steady drip... It looks like it might be the hose going to the water **** but not sure. I hope its not the damn heater core cause they are damn expensive and look like a pain in the a** I JUST WANT TO BE DONE with this part of my car!!!
