AT kick down

does anyone know how to change the AT KICK DOWN right now it shifts at 5200rpm i want it to shift more like 5800rpm

I don't think the kick down adjusts the shift points, only when you mash the throttle, it drops the trans into a lower gear for overtaking. That aside, I'm not sure how to adjust the shift points. I'd imagine you'd have to adjust some sort of pressure valve or something inside the trans itself. Perhaps a tranny shop could do that for cheap.

I think you're on the right track. The transmission shop can also build the tranny with tighter springs or something for harder shifts. You might get a tire chirp on each shift! BAM!

Definitely stronger, nicer bands and drums is the best way to go. That'd be one hell of an auto, chirping all three. My Dad's '71 Roadrunner did that ... damn skippy, if you ask me.
