read a lot of the smog related posts but couldn't find one for my current issue, car passed on the numbers just fine that aside.. i failed the visual. because i don't have the "second t.v.v" which from everything i can tell is s'posed to be mounted in the thermo housing. but yeah....there isn't one.. am i missing something? do i have another wrong part? any in put would be greatly appreciated.

What state are you in?
Pics of your TVV / thermostat housing?

Did you take your car to a Z shop? Because not many mechanics / smog techs have any idea about the older Z's.

 

sorry about that, its a 1981 280zx 2+2, in California. took car to my normal guy, and i would agree had to correct him on a few different things. the issue he has is the "diagram" under the hood list's two t.v.v's one t's in with the egr, goes over to T in with the dist' then into a second t'v'v and back to vacuum,.. manual shows it under the single wire sensor on the thremo housing,.. but also shows the same location as a temp sensor..will post pictures shortly...have to take them,.
