Looked everywhere! 280ZX Quarter Window Weatherstrip

Hi guys, I already searched and could only find posts referring to earlier model zcars, but I was wondering if anyone knew where to get the rear quarter window weatherstripping?

Or if not, then a good material/process to make your own weatherstripping? They leak only slightly but it's enough to make me want to change them, as you can see the super cracked rubber behind the glass...

Its butyl adhesive and is sold in rolls. Not sure if this is the correct way or not - but I used a heat gun on the inside to soften the adhesive and remove the glass. If you just pry at it, you could break the glass.

I called a glass company. it was only $50 to have it professionally, and no leaks since then.

Hmm I'll look for that then, I imagine a hairdryer would work just as well, it'll just take longer...

I swear MSA/BDA etc could make a good bit o' cash if they offered something pre-made for this situation.

Took mine out for tinting and used a heat gun and some vinyl panel poppers. Reinstalled with clear all weather silicone, which hasn't leaked yet.

I did my own not long ago as it was leaking. I use a Olfa knife and kept the blade lubed with WD40. Replaced with a tube of Butyl in a calking gun. It's messy so wear glove. Clean up with a razor blade. Easy Peasy
