Lowering a 1982 280zx

I tried to search but did not find much info. I would like to lower my 1982 280zx. I have 205/70/r14 TOYO's tires on stock rims front and back. Any advice or links would be appreciated.

Eibach, Tokico, KYB, coil-overs, ST springs... the list goes on & on.

I searched for "Lower" in the 280zx suspension section & got lots of good results...

Don't do it the crap way and cut coils off your stock springs.

Bleach, how does it ride with the cut springs. In theory it should be a stiffer ride... is it uncomfortable at all? Notice any negative handling characteristics?

I have not driven much like it is. It is really stiff and bouncy, but short sharp bouncy. Almost no travel in the rear like its resting on bump stops. Not a good way to drive.

Like I said though, its only so I could go to a Datsun meet about 2 miles away. My Tokico setup is in the garage now.

Wow. Bleach cutting his springs. I never would have thunk it. And when did you get those wheels? First the Gnose, now i see wheels. And you have a true turbo car. Thats it. You are never allowed to wear my jacket ever again. The ZXT is lookin . . .well she looks pretty damn good. I hope your Gnose takes an extra week to fit and paint. HA

Shouldn't you be paying me to wear your Apollo jacket now?

also, I have had a bit of a spending spree on this car. But now my budget is spent and the major parts are ordered. It'll be low budget from here on out.

Paying you? I think I should charge you for the previous time! Mr. MoneyBags! Its an honor to floss the infamous Apollo crew jacket. You are one of the few who has worn it and lived to see another day.
