Question Most boost for basic mods?

I wanted to know wats the most amount of boost i can run on my 81 turbo with out needing a serious ecu reflash tune. My car came with a fuel pressure regulator and front mount, and i ordered a manual boost controller was wondering if i can kick it up a lil or if i just have to wait for a ecu...?

Stock injectors and fuel pump can go to 10psi. These Ecu's cant be "reflashed" to go above that you need to go with a FMS system like Megasquirt or Nistune, ect... I use MegaSquirt.

Thanks man just need a lil kick up but wanted to make sure i dont blow it...

Can nistune work on my ecu or do i need to swap for something cuz ive heard of people swapping to 300zx ecu's was thinking of maybe doing that with nistune cuz the modern ecu is easier to work with as far as programing and monitoring ( getting things like electronic boost controllers and apexi safc) at least i would think so im into monitoring and gadgetry gauges n buttons haha...?

^^^ Yep, you need to upgrade to the Z31T ecu & MAF to run Nistune. It just requires some re-wiring.

And welcome to ZDriver!

OVER 9000!!!!

lol just bump the fuel pressure up a bit (especially good if you have a rising rate fuel pressure regulator) and you should be able to run about 12psi safely
