MSD Coil and Ballast Resistor

Alright since it's getting warmer out I'm thinking I'll have to go finally get my mallory ignition installed. Anyway I was wondering am I able to go ahead and throw my MSD Blaster 2 coil in there? It didn't come with a ballast resistor, and I don't know if not having one would cause problems to my stock ignition?

The ballast resistor is for points ignition, not electronic ignition.
