It's going nicely, so far I've done everything myself. I'm intimidated by the wiring, but my father-in-law is going to help with that (He's ASC certified and a journeyman electrician).
Before that I have to finish the intake, cut down the shifter linkage, shorten the drive shaft, fab and install the exhaust with cat and O2 sensors and paint the engine bay. My wife said I can get it dyno'ed when its done, I should get over 100 hp more then what it had brand new, with the same or better mpg, but I'll have to run premium fuel.

Lookin Good
Nice work. I recently changed my work schedule big time. I am pulling 4 11 hour days, tues-fri down in Carson so having 3 days off will give me some garage time. Hit me up next time you are in Reno/Sparks. I am hoping or these 50 degree days to keep it up so I can get back out there. I haven't done a damn thing since December.

very nice!! great fab skillz too. that should definatley get some better mpg and you get a 6 speed which is really nice. hardest part is paying for proper driveshaft service to keep it balanced. do you need the dash for the engine to work?

Zfever used to have a bunch of pics about their build, I think they figured out they were giving people too many hints into their process and took them down ( I ordered my braided line from the master to slave cylinder from the). I've gotten a lot further a long, the headers are done, y-pipe and exhaust are tacked, I've ordered the O2 sensors so all I need now is the Driveline pipe, slave cylinder and wiring!!! Pics will get posted soon.

If you have not completed the wiring for the ECU yet you should look into megasquirt. With it you can tune the engine to run better than the OEM ECU. It's actually easy to do.
Once the wiring of sensors, injectors etc is done there's autotune built into the software. This will be handy considering you are changing intake and exhaust manifolds. The factory ECU might not be able to adjust for the new airflow. Using a wideband O2 sensor MS will dial the mixture right in.
Another thing I'm going to do this winter is create duel mixture maps and switch between them with a switch on the dash. One for long cruising and one for that pesky Honda civic that wants to race.
MS will also control your cooling fans, fuel pump etc.
Just something to consider.

So i borrowed a scale from work that goes between an object and hoist. The L28ET with accessories and T-5 is 570lbs. I always heard it was like 700lbs!!! the VQ35DE with accessories and 6-speed is 520lbs. So I don't get the almost 200lbs. lighter I thought I got.
