Geting ready for new Fuel Rail, and T/B. First pic shows a an over view. Secound is where i mounted FPR. I used the OEM fuel rail mount(the front mount that mounts in front of motor) Bent and drilled. Made a nice bracket. Third is a Pic of what my new fuel rail is gona look like. PallNet at Hybrid Z is makin it now. I also orderd the PSI gauge for it.

ok i found the same no runner style intake ....what i was wondering is would it be better for makeing power then the stock one that i have now?? ..
the intake is in a junk yard and iam just being lazy about removing it...
i wanted it because it should make my header get more air and cool faster ...
But does it make more power also?????
I have a 60mm T/B to put on it ..i think should i go pick up the older intake IF its better???? ... .Then have it ported and install the T/B and intake all at the same time ????
NICE WORK FubarI33t..I LIKE THE RAIL AND OLDER INTAKE SETUP IT LOOKS SICK !!!!

more power is doubtful. In the long run its less of a heatsink so at the end of the day you're likely to be putting out more power then the stock manifold would just due to lower intake temps (whether its noticeable or not is the question). But first thing in the morning it's not likely to make a difference. I like the look better and it makes finding the lower manifold bolts easier.
Also, you DO NOT want the header to get air and cool. The hotter they are the more effective they are. What you want is for the heat coming off of the headers to be able to evacuate the engine compartment rather then get trapped under the intake manifold and get soaked up therefore heating the intake air. Not good. An open runner manifold will let the heat pass through it.

there are lots of places around the counrty that chrome, just go on the net, do a search, pay more for it or youll be sorry, i got a place local here, i just dont know what they charge, for the intake thing, i cut out all the webbing on mine, but i left in the heat sheild to deflect the heat away, thus leaving and air gap with no direct heat exchange under the manifold. you can also header wrap your header, i think i might try it to see if it helps, ive heard this wears out your header tho, anyone heard of this before. the only problem is the newer style intake has that big egr tubing in it, so all the webbing doesnt come out, there both the same length i believe, just the n42 style is missing the egr passages.

dam that much huh? spendy .....this n42 manifold has the egr stuff ..iam going to make a cover plate ...
ok what made the n42 motor have more power than the newer motor p79 ..intake ? ecu?bottom end?.. are zx motors are pretty much the same as the z but mister n42 has 170hp on the plate...... mister n47 on the 1979 car has
135hp.. now in 1981 the mis little p79 at 145hp ....what makes it more or less power ?????pistons?heads?or tuning ? i cant figure it out ..they should have just kept all the n/a motors 180hp and made the turbo car 280hp lolololol ..
