My new ride !! Oh and has anyone ever shipped a car. I may have an issue?

Well here she is!!! 1984 Mercedes 380 SL with the 3.8 V8. 11280 miles on the clock! I got screamed at by my grandfather to drive it 390 miles. From Richmond to Pittsburgh. He literally cried saying it was a Concurs example with orig tires. ?? No Idea but he called Lt auto transport to ship it home. So its been a week. Signed the tittle 10/21 the car is still in Richmond. They claim they have 30 days to "Make a load". And its "safely" Stored then offered me a 400.00 "Insurance". WTF on TV they always show the car being a instant shipment. Plus we had to Dip into savings for the 1150.00 to ship Covered. Never done this before. Is this standard?? Thanks

go get a uhaul trailer and bring it home. put a tight fitting car cover on it and drive away. or jump in and drive it home. whats the point to a car you cant drive. those springs off it are a great upgrade for the rear of the 280zx!

Thanks great laugh!! Thought the ol man was going to **** a brick when my wife brought a bottle of coke into the car. Like to see his face if I told him Ya pulled the struts for my Datsun lol. I cant drive it until I go through EVERYTHING. Still got the original Pa inspection stickers from 1987. He did a great job storing it. Drained the fuel and kept it in a heated garage. I put 5 gallons of gas in it and a new battery. Fired right up. Im going to let them bring it home. This is the first time its seen day light since my wife was a new born lol. Just sux im like a kid on Christmas eve

Oh and got to point out the ZX was a total nightmare on the way back!! Woke up packed my bag and soon as I got into the car. CRUNCH went my floor board! Rocker/Floor area from the computer to the hatch lever separated. So every bump on the way home was a nice dragging tune. My carpet was already ripped so had a great veiw of pavement going by at 75. Had to keep my feet up in and under the dash. Got to Winchester VA and the manifold gasket failed!! 4 hours of scrapeing and clacking later shes in the barn. Decideing to either buy a new floor pan or just to jerry weld patches. LOL Told my wife next time he wants to get us down we will just fly him up !
