Sorry..a little off topic..but..

Whats the widest we can go on the front? Is 9.5 the max? I wouldnt think going any wider would be possible, I didnt realize 9.5 was possible. Is this simply because of the offset he is running on these?
Sorry, alot of questions.

Btw: shady those look good. Whats your spring/strut combo?

It depends on your setup & how you want it to look. You can get diff offset rims & use spacers.... there are a lot of options, so you can't really say "What is the widest you can go?" It really depends on: How wide looks too goofy

Honestly, I can't see how that is 9.5 inches wide. I had heard that the 280ZX can fit 8.5 inch wide max on the front with the right offset (somewhere in the +12 to +20 range) without rolling the fender lip.
I've got 9 inch wide with zero offset and they'll fit with a rolled fender lip... say goodbye to the splash guard probably...

also, you're running 255 wide tires up front? ...honestly, 245 would be cutting it close on fitment. Those actually look more like 225. Was that a typo or are they really 255?
I'm going to run 225 on my 9's just so the tire clears when the suspension compresses.

Did the previous owner tell you they were 9.5's? Did you measure the width with tires off... maybe he measured the outside lip at 9.5 which would mean they are really 8.5" wide wheels.

So Shady... are you having any issues with steering at all? Did you lower the car at all? Just curious, cause when I put the big fat meaty tires on mine and lowered it, the bump steer was INSANE! You should get some bump steer spacers if you haven't already.

Skully... You now have by far the greatest Avatar here... I guess the only thing that would improve it would be if it were stars and stripes instead of the maple leaf

Rod.

OK GUYS HERES THE GOODS, THERE ARE 255'S ON 9.5 WIDE RIMS, I DOUBLE CHECKED. IT IS STOCK RIDE HEIGHT ALL AROUND. I AM USING KYB GR2 STRUTS AND PROGRESSIVE RATE CHEVY VAN SPRINGS IN THE BACK (THIS COMPLETLY STOPS SQUAT)(THEY ALSO NEED TO BE CUT DOWN A BIT AS SEEN IN THE PIC) THEY ARE DOUBLE BOLT PATTERN FOR A FOX BODY MUSTANG AND THE OTHER IS THE 280ZX BOLT PATTERN.

AND NO THE FENDERS DO NOT NEED TO BE ROLLED.
AND STEERING IS FINE, I CAN GO LOCK TO LOCK AND IT HANDLES LIKE A FERRARI. I CAN DOUBLE CHECK THE OFFSET AND ANY MEASUREMENTS FOR THOSE WITH LOTS OF MONEY CAN AFFORD TO HAVE THEM MADE. OR FIND ONES SIMILAR.

NISMO PICK YOU MAY FILE THAT ONE IF IT GIVES YOU WOOD
