My newly built adjustable tension rods
The are adjustable, with BMW bal joints on top, and left and right threads
All i could find where either built for a 510 or a s30.. so i had to make my own. luckely a friends speedshop makes these for his race Z .. so we duplicated them for use on the s130 utilizing a BMW balljoint ( bolts into OEM hole, but i will reinforce this) And a cut and left hand threaded orinal rod, this wil enable me to fully adjust these.
On top the Control arms will be adjustable aswell, this enable me to use the z31 5 lug conversion with z31 struts, that will be fitted with Coilovers...
Now the rest of the car should be somewhere near finished

Yea Eurospec z31 2+2 Turbo disk (bigger they nearly fit 16" rims)
From what i understood is that even camberplates (got those) would not compensate enough for the lost of camber in this swap, so the control arms will be made adjustable aswel (pics will follow) this will make a solid connection for these and so locking it in place even more ( with the camberplates on top there wil be no rubber or urethane left in this set up.. so this will improve handling ( NOT COMFORT)
For the rear ... wel i have to see if it is direct swap or not.
Thanks for teh compliment

I will have to since i will running 10J 17, i was thinking on making solid bushings with excentric holes.
Problem is that in my recolection this would also move the wheel back.. so the only way i can think of from the top of my head is moving the arm abit.. Or making the inner one adjustable as that would push out the entire wheel right ? ( thinking out loud here sorry if im blabering)
I have fairly detailed picturse pete ( pallnet) send me of the BRE 510 that had a solution to that problem.
In track setting im looking a 5 degrees in fron and at least 3 in the back .. so having some control would be nice ! As on street setting i dont want to be driving ( and wearing 265 tires) at this rate
What are your ideas

but how are you trying ? , wat are you going to adjust on it, on a A arm it is easy just make to joints on the end with threads ( much like the rod) and well screw in and out.. ..
Here we have to make sure it does not push it back..
How do the BMW e30 guys do it?

The MSA kit was just a hole saw & pattern to slot out the pivot holes for the arm. I guess it just drops the front of the arm down, which pulls the top in.
I've also thought about making a strut camber plate like those done on S30's.... that allow the top of the strut to move inward... tho it seems that both of these ideas would need to go hand in hand.

yeah i have extra set of camberplates im wanting to use for this aswel .. any pictures of the MSA set up ?
You would need a huge camberplate to make any diffrence that would be worth while from what i would suspect... anybody did this here?
anyway that and making the connections to the subfram adjustable would do wonders !
