My Z...

Is running close to 4k rpm on the highway? at like 65-70 mph lol

my guess is its not supposed to be running that high... I'm burning through gas like crazy

no thats right, i run 80 every day on the interstate at 4.5k, motors still running

with 4 speeds i'm guessing? that's what you get with a 4 speed. my midget would redline at 90mph lol. nice.

In my Daily I have the 3 speed auto and I am at 4k rpm doing 80ish. I get 18-19 mpg, I can't wait to get my 5 speed up and running.

actually a 5 speed with a 3.9 R200, thats if you were talking to me

nah mines a 5 sp lol

I just think thats really high considering you don't need a lot of power to keep speed on a highway.

Not cool, guess I'm gonna have to accelerate then drift on the highway.

you sure? i did 80 today and just hung there at 3100-3200 rpm, mabe i got something special, or my speedo is off

is their a dif in the BW T5 that came in Manual turbos and the regular NA 5 Speed ratios?

Yes, the BW T5 gear ratios are a little different, but the O/D is pretty close on both trannies.

You were probably doing more like 75 at that RPM. I know..because my speedo is off about 5mph after 50mph or so. Because I have gone by people with digital speedometers on the freeway. And they were reading 5 less than mine was.

would changing to an r200 help? or would it be the same because you said your 180 was a 3.9 and 2by2 said his 200 was a 3.9 too?

Think mine is too. I was doing 80mph at about 3300rpm on my way to the city...dunno if that's good or not lol

180 and 200 refer to the ring gear size in mm

the 3.9 or whatever it is, is the over all ratio

and r200 is just an over all stronger unit than the r180
