Need a New Battery
Its time I get a new battery one that can handle not being a daily drive and more of a weekend warrior. The electrical system has been a struggle but far less of a headache compared to some of my other issues.
So I need everyone's opinion and advice what is a decent battery to put into the z and is there anything I can get to help it from draining during long periods of rest in the garage?

The Optima batteries are probably the best you can buy, but my Duralast Gold has done me well ever since I bought it, and my car has sat for a week or more at different times, and I haven't had to charge it yet.
(of course, I have like no drain on the battery, seen as I have no radio, A/C, heater (I have it, but I don't use it ))

X2 on the optima or any gel type battery. I put a red top optima in my Tacoma 5 years ago and I haven't had a single problem with it. I harldy drive it during the summer and it starts every time I need it.

get an interstate those gel cell optima might look cute but I've seen too many die. I've been using interstate for 30 years. One lasted 9 years until I sold the vehicle. Only one bad one and replaced under warranty no charge. never had one fail to last beyond the warranty period. Usually sell the car with it in there. When you put the car up disconnect positive cable and put one of those trickle chargers they sell at Harbor Freight for $5 on it. You leave it just sitting it will lose charge.
