new head and intake

so i know some people told me what i can do with it and all but im really gonna get this done now with my head thats crack on the number 1 runner thats giving me an leak there... so im guessing it would be the n42 head?? or what would/could i do to replace it... is that my only option? i want to get a new intake manifold too or at lease one the gap in between (dont know what thats called but something like this)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...spagenameZWDVW

and a new fuel rail.. so?? what can i do? and how much would it come out to be.. if i buy a use head.. would i need to rebuilt it? i want a complete one that i can just get it, clean it and then put on..

rebulding the head depends on the condition, if it lookes are sparly and relativly clean i MIGHT just drop it on but odds are i would get any used head redone to be safe

I'm a lil confused about your prob... the head is cracked, or the manifold runner? If the head is cracked, you might as well get another.

A N42 head on a F54 with flattops will do very nicely. Also the N42 intake is the one with out "Webbing" where you can see the exhaust under it. The N42 head will up your compression and power. You should have a 10:4 comp. I don't know if you will still beable to run 87. You might have to get used to 93oct.

10:4? am i missing something? or does that come out to 2.5:1, which is rediculously low... too low to run...
i ask to be educated on this matter. not to be all snappy and correct you

What's wrong w/ your intake manifold (the head is cracked... is the intake too?)? Going to a turbo intake won't do anything... going to an N42 intake won't do anything either (other than make your engine bay look nicer).

Go w/ the N42 intake then, if you can still get it to pass Cali visual inspection.

n42 is for an NA people just relocate the PCV vlave threading for the turbo. thats the only difference wont affect you at all. and as for the N42 head with the L28 block and flat tops its 10.4:1 compression. i did the calcutlation today. so i think thats what fubar meant to say.

The N42 is from a 280Z (non-turbo). It won't make any difference for an n/a or turbo performance wise. People install it for looks.

uhhh... i know. did i mmislead u with that post? n00b

im saying the people that say its an N42 for the turbo means they only relocated the spot for the PCV. and the N42 was for an NA car a 75 280Z to be exact.
