No crank/ and roll start black smoke and studders HELP!!

Today I took my 280 out around town the car ran perfect all day drove 120 miles. I stopped at a sheets Idled the car for 15 mins. Drove home no Issues perfect.

Idled the car in the drive way and was playing with a black wire for the lil square message center in the cluster you guys know the orange OK. well that and I tugged on some random wires .

Car was running fine shut off and restarted fine then I did it again and it hit the selenoid didnt even try to crank.

Thought vapor lock so I roll started it, ran as if it had a dead cylinder. I let it sit 30 mins roll started ran great for a min then black smoke rolling out the tail with a nasty half burnt stench.

Oil press was normal no shaveings on the dip stick , coolent level was good no water in the oil , motor is free of any knocks or tapps

I did have 25 amp fuses through out the box. Feels like a computer based on how fast it went to ****.

But why doesnt it crank ?? Im lost and all alone now

turns out my positive wire to the starter was cooked and didnt allow enough juice to the ecm . Really thought i was done in for there whew maybe we should add this as a sticky . It really acted like the motor was locked and the starter tested good quick thing to check before pulling a motor never had a wire go bad like that on any car I owned!

^ It can happen. Expect just about anything with these Z cars. Especially with the wiring. I have had my share of problems with electrical. Just because mainly of the age, and flimsiness of the wires. All in all, glad you found the problem.

**** like this is why my starter has it's own terminal on my deep cycle battery, and the alt is wired independently then everything else too. Wise to keep all the bigg Amp hogs separate then the low ones.

Methinks maybe you need a ***** with a forged bottom end...
