No Dash lights!

Back from the dead!
I searched this problem like crazy and none of the fixes I found here worked for my dead dash lights and tail lights. Many of the other threads on this subject had the OP's claiming they fixed it but didn't describe how.
I swapped the dimmer and cleaned the combination switch contacts, no luck. I eventually found that I had voltage out of the combi switch but very tiny voltage at the dimmer plug.
Turned out that there is another connector downstream from the combination switch, about halfway down the steering column. I pulled it out and found the power wire going to the dimmer switch was all blackened going into the connector. Must have been some corrosion on that contact and jacked up the resistance. I gave it a good clean and tweaked/tightened the pins and it has been working great for a couple of weeks, no lighting issues!
