No Dash lights (different from others I promise)
Okay, well I took my dash cluster out today to try and get my speedometer working again (stopped working randomly, and failed to fix it yet <_< ), my dash lights mysteriously stopped working.
All my lights work (headlights, taillights, brake lights, corner lights, flashers, even the dummy lights in the dash work) ONLY the lights that make the dash cluster background light up don't work. (including the three gauges in the center of the dash)
I've checked all the fuses over and over again, all the fusible links, everything.
The circuit has resistance to it, so I know it's a complete circuit on the dash side. The thing is though, I'm not getting power to the prong that's supposed to have power for the lights to work...
I also took out all of the light bulbs and took the orange boots off of them thinking I could get a cool white face dash look. I put them back on and no difference...
I sprayed some electrical connector cleaner on the switch part and it didn't do anything.
ALSO, my turn signals don't work either. (but that might be because the turn-signal cam isn't on the steering shaft when I was testing it out?)
but anyways, HALP PREASE??

Have you gotten them to work even for a second? Try jiggling with the **** that adjusts the brightness of the lights. Lets see, I believe its in the same cluster as the defroster and rear windshield wiper switch. When my dash lights on my 280ZX didn't work, I had to jiggle that switch a bit then they'd come on. OTOH, maybe you need to figure out where the wiring for the dash lights and turn signals cross and check that? Maybe a harness, fuse, relay, etc.

Why did you have to remove the dimmer switch anyway?? Just changed my orange condom covered lites to ambers didnt have to get near the dimmer switch.....And for all to know.... in your harness for the headlight switch Red and green are for your dash lights! Learned the hard way

Push in the switch and turn it to the left. And it should pop off. (The **** itself) Then you would unscrew the plastic slotted round piece. And unplug the switch in the back. Then you should be able to remove it. Good luck.
