The easiest way.... remove the oil cooler adapter from the block & install the oil filter in it's place. All you need is the hollow stud for the oil filter to screw onto the block.

lol, nooo... i think that might cause a little disturbance in oil flow dont you think? blocking off a main oil passage. haha. just a thought.

best solution, just replace the lines right away.

I had a 1981 280zxt that i found out was well not well off... rusted through to hell... flinston car ! i could see the ground . SO i sold the engine but i did keep the stock oil cooler and put it on my 1982 280zxt wow wat a job ! but on the free way it keep my oil temp about 20* cooler pretty cool ! there was a place that could replace them.. wasnt it " earls " ? the same people who make the brake lines... i bought...

thats cool !! I did not know that it was a main oil passage, I thought it was kinda looped in so to speek, only cooling a portion of the oil.....

well the only stupid question, is the one not asked..... thank you hermultra

it might be, but since it has to be under pressure and flows from the oil filter i can only assume its a main passage.
