Paint removing
#26
Nice, Man the headlight buckets are some thick fiberglass then. And I guess I'll use etching primer on the painted body of the car, and I'm just going to undercoat with POR-15, I do the entire car if it wasn't $130 a gallon @.@

I've begun removing the paint off of my 3rd datsun and its has about 6-7 coats of paint on it. Its going to take time no matter what, so be patient. I've been using Jasco Premium paint & epoxy remover that i picked up from Home Depot for 25 dollars. I chose this because auto stores were wanting about 36-40 dollars for a gallon of aircraft stripper. Its a thick brush on semipaste that i especially like b/c of the low odor to it and b/c it is so easy to apply. It only takes about 10 minutes before you can take a scrapper to it but the downside to it is that it takes about 3-4 coats to get down to bare metal for me and then finish it out with 400grit sand paper on the DA. Also this stuff melts away bondo with is also a plus.

I honestly forgot about this thread.... I guess now would be a good time to do the engine bay which is starting to rust sense theres no paint around the brake and clutch master cylinders
Maybe I should just pull the engine.... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
