Great job '81 blue, no that's not it, red? damn wrong again.LOL Maybe '81 Black? Oh wow I got it on the 3rd guess, do I win a prize?LOL Anyway that car is tight, you did excellent work. It motivates me to try and paint my '82 when I am ready. Of course mine will be fun with the 2-tone paintjob. Question are you going to put that spoiler back on? That was pretty smooth looking man! Anyway keep us updated. I don't really have anything else to report. Except I started bondoing my newer dash. I am just waiting for it to cure, so I can sand it, prime it, and then paint it the Royal Blue I want!

That. Is. Slick.

Black is sexy on Zeds, especially yours, with the pissed off exhaust peeking out and the MSA kit. The job is flawless man, congrats. Makes me want to spray my Zed, but first I need to get her legal.

Hmm ... Washington is only two states away ... can you say ROAD TRIP? I'd love to see her in person.

Great job, as always, man. Really inspires me to work harder on my Zed.

Are you going to leave the engine compartment red? I kind of like how it looks cause it matches the red interior and red hoses you put on. Looks pretty nice man, good job.

I don't really reccomend clear coat on black paint. Even the best clear coat isn't really clear. It has a tendancy to give the finish a kind of milky or cloudy appearance. My car... as black and shiny as she is, has no clear coat on it. Once you wet sand and polish the black, and put a good wax on it, it will look way better than it will with the clear on it. Just my two cents worth. Clear coats are great on lighter colors like white, silver and so on. I have just never seen a blacker car than a black car with no clear coat. I'm not a painter though, so do what you think is best for you. It's looking sweet... more like mine everyday .

thank you. Rod called it. The milky or cloudy appereance will be there no matter what you do. on my 350Z (black) I could have washed/waxed it, and next day... crap again. And if you plan on using the Mr. Clean Auto Dryer thing.... don't even attempt on black w/ clear coat. that thing works wonders on my wife's car, but on my 350Z, looked about the same before I washed it..

Trust me man, I would ... I so would. But, there's a couple things in the way ... One, I have no cash, and two, well ... take a look.

http://doriftomotorsports.250free.com/Zed/

I think she needs a bit of bodywork, some replacement panels, and trim. But hey, wouldn't be my Zed if she wasn't a project.

Pop off the valve cover and make sure all the rocker arms and lash pads are still in place.
