do you have to hold buttion down, press it quick, hell I have never done it before. I think I might have a HuGe vaccume leak. hell lines are missing all over. some are pluged with screw's. Just such a mess. How the hell can anyone mess up chit like this so bad. I have to swap out a few senser's also. the wire's just fell out of them. and, Right next to the distributor there's a lil saucer thing. Vaccume line connected to it on the bottom. There's a wire that's supposed to connect there. It's not there. no clue where it is. If only one of ya Z guys lived close, and had the time to laugh at the mess it's in.

The missing wire isn't all that important. Mine falls off all the time and I've never noticed any difference. When I see it I just reconnect it. The saucer thing is the vaccum advance by the way .
As for the button. Yeah you just push it in and let it go. If everything is fine it will flash through everything and then say OK. If there is a problem, it will flash whatever's wrong a few times then remain lit red.

It's got a bad circuit, relay, or controller. Even if all of it's sensors were diconnected it would still flash through them. I'd bust out the wiring diagram to figure that one out. Unless you don't care. I don't use it. For the first year I owned my Z it was constantly red because my coolant reservoir sender was stuck on the bottom. I replaced that and now it says I've got a stop light out. But my stoplights are working fine. When I get around to rewiring, that thing will NOT be wired back in.

talk about Well Made sensor's, Sucker been in there 265,000(22 years). I can tell. Cause it won't come out. all the wire's on the blue 280 fell off on the sensor's. so I am pulling them off the red one. On the water Inlet, under it are two sensor's. one you have to remove the distributer to get to it. other you just have to take water hose off. The one at the very bottom. Is it really needed? Cause it ain't comeing out. WD4D ain't got a chance at this one.

If a bigger wrench don't do it. Then a bigger hammer should I've put a fence post (5ft) over the handle of a breaker bar to break axle nuts loose before How many wire are we talking about here? There's one with the same type of connector as the fuel injectors. That's the thermotime which has to do with cold idle. There one that just has a provision for one wire to plug into the sensor, thats for the temp gauge. There one that has a wire coming from it that connects to another wire, thats for the ac. And then mine also has a TVV in the therm. housing but you'll know this part cause it's got vaccum hoses coming from it. The only one you need for you car to run, NONE of them. You might want to keep the gauge sensor and and whatever else you deem relevant.
