Pictures of my project

Well here are some picture of my 1982 280zx n/a.

I have painted the door skins and started on some of the trim as well. The color turned out a little more burgundy than I thought it would. What do you guys think of the color. Should I keep on going with it or look for something a little closer to stock?

I tried to fit my dash cap cover up again but it just seems to be a little off. It is not warped or anything but it seems to be enough off that I don't think it will work properly. To get it to fit half way decent on one side the other side becomes a problem and no matter what I do I can not make the glove box area work. I think I just might buy a dash cover carpet as much as I dont like them. But i think the carpet would look better than this cap if I tried to install it.

I have my lower dash radio area pulled out to paint. I think I took a picture of my faulty heater valve, can I change it with this much stuff pulled out or does more need to be pulled? I moved the heater leaver and it moves freely and the linkage to the valve moves as I can watch it as I do so. If it moves like normal can the heater valve still be stuck open?

She has clocked 208,627 miles, not too bad for the old girl. T

he driver side headlight bucket is cracked, can I fix or do I need a new one?

Well I only have one more week to get this thing up to par and then it becomes my daily driver. wish me luck.

Nice! You can R&R the heater valve w/o removing the dash, but expect some coolant flowage! Also, the stock heater valve has a wire coil running to the back of the huge black center control box. So you'll either have to cut it, or remove the dash & center box to get it out.

The headlight bucket is fiberglass & can be repaired easily if you know how to work w/ fiberglass & resins.
