*facepalm*

by the sounds of it Its the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) Valve. It should be hook into that pipe the come out from the block on the drivers side under the dizzy. And you need it hooked up else you want something to blow up.

Hey I was trying to scare him! lol

Anyways Yes Im talking about the pipe off the engine block... what other pipe is there? and you can but its a very bad idea. Where does it go? Uh lets see it goes from the pipe to the PCV valve with a rubber hose.

Your welcome lol

Lol you are in serious need of a Haynes manual or FSM

Yes it's the pipe off the engine block under the manifolds near the front cover.

Some people block it off and put a filter on the valve cover opening. Sometimes this can lead to oil coming out of that filter but usually it's not that big of a deal, although frowned upon.

Thanks for clearing that up for me....
this engine was tore down in 06...I can't remember where everything goes.
I do have a fsm for the car, just can't make heads or tails on the drawings, I honestly could not find that valve. I blew thru it, mine opened both ways, thought I'd loose turbo boost. In this case, id go back into the engine...?? maybe the valve is bad, anyway I blocked it off and will put a filter on the pipe coming outta the block.

I should have her running today and will report back progresss

thankx to all at zcar, without you guys Id be fed.

kenny

I should have made that more clear - the filter goes on the valve cover breather [you know where the valve cover is, right?] and block off the pipe coming off the block as well as the hole under the intake mani.

It's a black hole that leads to a parallel universe.

If you were being serious, GOOGLE "PCV".
