Project bondo thrasher bucking to a stop ???

Well been awhile since my 81 / 79 swap has been finished and since has put 6000 smileing miles on my non turbo slick top. Now how to begin noticed the tone changed in the starter from the normal nissan tone to a swishy swashy noise sometimes grinding the flywheel. Been a month actully drove it 1300 miles to the outerbanks and back now I got it home the clutch pedal feels like when you have a warped rotor the pluse when you lightly have your foot resting on the clutch pedal. Car shutters horriable when pulling out , and when in 1st clutch in at 10-15mph. Reverse is grind in only with the clutch in. But the clutch does not slip still chirps 2nd and runs fine....... Is this a bad throw out bearing?? Car always had a whine so im thinking it that but it doesnt slip??? Kinda like to hear some thoughts here before I start ripping it apart. Have my fancy rust free 83 t-top with a blown head thinking about killing this one and shoveing my motor in it lol. ah but have my heart in to the underdog just never had this type of clutch issue or is it my tranny? THANKS GUYS
