Question about cold start valve.
#3
hmmm. Well that just burst my bubble. I thought i was on to my problem. My Thermotime switch is bad as well. The car will run if I spray carb cleaner in the intake then it will take off and run on its own. After the car warms up, I can kill it and it will restart on its own time after time. But after it cools back down, its dead and wont hit a lick. Im about to pull my hair out.

is it cold where your at that would have an affect on the issue. will it start if you push the accelerator down about half way. careful not to hit the clear flood mode. my next question would be does your fuel pump run when you put the key in the on position?

Its been in the 70's here so not too cold. It has no change when i push the accelerator. I had a friend crawl under the car and the fuel pump does come on for a few seconds when i first turn the key on and then it comes on while i crank on the starter.

ok so go through the essentials that your car would need to run
1.fuel- make sure the system works and your getting proper fuel pressure
2.air- check stupid things like the maf(mass air flow sensor)
3.then spark see if your getting it from the ignition coil then from the distributor as well
best of luck
